I did it!

Not that, silly. I made a pecan pie! I probably have mentioned it before, I love to bake. Pies, however, are not my forte. I don't make them enough to get proficient at them, and I have never made a pecan pie. The closest thing I have made to a pecan pie is butter tarts, and they were a dismal failure (never thickened). Hubby mentioned that he likes pecan pie, so I thought I would make one for Christmas. I wanted to do a trial run first, to make sure it would "work". I figure it must have tasted ok since there is no more left! I did manage to take a pic of the last piece:
